Yoga Alliance RYT 200 Training & Certification
Limited to 16 Participants Per Cycle
Join me in an exciting opportunity to see, work with and learn from real students' bodies while deeply examining your own practice. The Yoga Europa 200-hour teacher training will give you the knowledge and skills so that yoga continues to be a safe, healthy and passionate part of your & your students' lives. I guarantee I'll positively influence the way you teach, practice & think about yoga - and we'll have a fantastic time doing it!
Because I want students to get the most out of this training - I limit the participants to twelve per cycle. This gives everyone an opportunity to teach multiple times and allows me to work with each student in-depth. Successful graduates will receive a Yoga Europa teacher training certificate which will entitle you to register as a Yoga Alliance RYT 200®. Both students and prospective, new and seasoned instructors are welcome in all or part of this training. All hours count towards Yoga Alliance continuing education.
What Makes You a Great Teacher
First thing - safety. Safety starts with open and honest communication in the classroom. Equally important and often understated is understanding how the breath and bandhas facilitate movement and how they protect and stabilize the body in the poses.
Second - know your mission. Why do YOU teach? For example, as a yoga teacher my mission is to model empowerment, open communication, compassion and love - all of which will keep my students safe. Your mission is your touchstone for everything that comes out of your mouth and for all of your actions in the yoga classroom. Take the time to create one that embodies your own goals for your classroom or practice.
What We'll Learn
A safe and pain-free classroom starts with powerful communication skills. And I'm going to teach you how to elicit information from and communicate effectively with students.
We will begin by learning how to use the breath in conjunction with the bandhas to provide force, to stabilize and to protect the spine in all of the poses. We will also discuss issues of range of motion, compression and joint hyper-flexibility.
Then, we'll break down 50 poses and in each Asana Series we'll focus in-depth on the anatomy, cues and alignment. In this context, we will also discuss the challenges students face and learn modifications to ensure poses are pain-free while still challenging and building strength and flexibility, regardless of what type of yoga you teach.
We'll learn sequencing and we'll practice multiple types of yoga e.g., vinyasa flow, slow flow, yin, restorative, back care, prenatal & surya namaskar. And you'll be teaching too!
Finally, we will explore how to create a mission and business plan that is truly reflective of your values and who you are. And, I'll give you valuable marketing tools that cater to your individual strengths and interests.
